Elon Reeve Musk, PayPal co‑founder, launched SpaceX after selling PayPal. The company built the Falcon 9 rocket and succeeded in landing it safely in a vertical position. The idea was to make rockets reusable like airplanes, and reduce the cost and pollution of building new rockets every time.

NASA also tweeted congratulations to SpaceX for the unprecedented achievement.

This video captured the landing moment.
Musk founded other projects alongside SpaceX, including Tesla and SolarCity. The key point that made me write this is that Elon Musk had only 139k followers on Instagram, while some so‑called “celebrities” in our community reached around 3 million.
Bottom line: we have massive power in social media, and real influence on how our society views success and who deserves recognition in this generation and the next. It is a responsibility to celebrate real achievers and make them the role models, not to create fame for people who add no value to the community.
Thank you.
